Tide (and who knows which other top-selling laundry detergents, along with many bathroom dispenser soaps) are the bane of my existence. Although I use unscented detergent, I find myself wearing a mask and/or steering clear of people who smell like Tide, walking the other way when passing by houses emitting the smell of Tide (or a similarly-scented detergent), and begging duplex-mates to quit using Tide. While sitting on the stoop to greet children with candy on Halloween last year, I was enjoying the smell of autumn until kids arrived reeking of Tide. It can take 10 washings or more (withwith white vinegar, baking soda, and myan unscented detergent) to get the Tide-like smell out of resale clothes.

In some cases, I've had to give up and redonate the clothing. After logging in to MyFitnessPal, I quickly deleted the app when an ad popped up for a new TIDE product that GETS ODORS OUT. Don't we have enough problems in the world, without having to deal with environmental and health risks caused by laundry detergent?!
