I have a Lewis N Clark sleep mask with a 3/4" elastic strap around the back. Trouble is it keeps falling off halfway through my sleep. If I tighten the strap then it presses uncomfortably around my eyes. Any suggestions for how to keep it on so it doesn't fall off and cause me to wake up?
As I see it, the issue is the mask has only a single strap. I would add an additional elastic strap to go over the top of your head to provide additional stability. Much the same way as a surgical or dust mask are designed.

It definitely helps if not completely alleviate the problem. – user19499 Feb 2 '17 at 17:13

You might try to make one or two connections between the two straps, two just behind the ears may be best. I have a mask with loops around the ears, it stays well enough as long as I can stand it but it pulling on the ears does make me want to tear it off when I wake up while wearing it. – Willeke Feb 3 '17 at 20:43

Can you provide a picture of what you mean? I don't see how a surgical or dust mask has an additional strap that goes over the top of one's head. – mic Dec 27 '19 at 15:29
