Say if I visit another non-English country and I visit Google it will divert me to the version of that country in that language.

How can I make it stay on a non-localized version?

Say I go to Russia and I want Google to be in English.

  • Is there a particular country you wanna go ? this can help provide a more detailed answer. – Ced Feb 11 '19 at 15:58

Please clarify: do you want just the UI in a particular language or do you want the results US-google returns to US-based searchers. (Being English, entering English search terms, but with a Russian IP will complicate this further). That said: I guess this is a Q served better at SuperUserSE or something else? – LаngLаngС Feb 11 '19 at 19:28

Just use the commercial URL*: https://www.google.com/

For instance if you want to use a localised version you can simply use:

And so on

*URL: mean Uniform Resource Locator or the web address to make it simple.

  • Thanks for your answer but I think mine just sums it up – user26899 Feb 11 '19 at 16:26

@DManokhin Please remember that a basic principle of all Stack Exchange sites is that multiple answers are encouraged and it’s for the community to decide which of them they consider helpful. Btw., I encourage you to check our scope, your question (plus self-answers) are not exactly on scope for here, they are simple “how to” questions asking for instructions. We are looking for “outside the box” solutions for everyday problems. – Stephie Feb 11 '19 at 17:39

Being on an IP that Google thinks is not in an English speaking area favours non-English results. Somewhat.

But there are ways to correct that unwanted pseudo-intelligence:

  • Use a VPN/Tor service that asks the Google from an English speaking area.

  • Search with Google, then either

    • select "Tools > Pages in English" below the search bar on top of results
    • or use the additional search term "lang:en"
