Oct 14, 2016 at 9:08 comment added Sue E Sounds like to me, it's a 3:30AM bedtime around your home. I really have no idea how to cool off the upstairs unless you install an attic fan.
May 10, 2016 at 11:49 comment added user3791372 Leave windows open to allow a circulation of air and keep curtains closed to prevent direct sunlight heating up the room. If housemates don't want to leave windows open, shut curtains will make a huge difference.

Feb 17, 2016 at 8:11 comment added dwjohnston @J.Musser - The house doesn't have air conditiioning/central heating. It's heated using heaters that plug in to the wall. Pretty standard in New Zealand.

Feb 15, 2016 at 18:26 comment added Carl Do you care if your housemates have cool air in their rooms, or are you just trying to cool your room?
Feb 15, 2016 at 9:38 comment added Arazio I assume you want low cost tips? Otherwise the logical solution would be to install air conditioning. Also is this private/council rented?
